“Trouble shooting hive problems”

Many of the factors that challenge colonies occur simultaneously and or interact with one another. This makes hive health issues difficult to diagnose and easily misinterpreted. This presentation will focus on how to inspect your hives in a way that helps identify driving factors and eliminate other stressors and so that you can make informed management decisions to promote the health and productivity of your hives.

“Making sense of bee research and what it means for me?”

Science can often provide overwhelming amounts of information and while knowledge is key to success too much knowledge can hinder our ability to make good management decisions. This presentation highlights recent honey bee research and relates how this information can be utilized in our apiaries and management practices.

Registration is not required. Free to Attend!

THE ORANGE COUNTY BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION

The OCBA was formed in the 1970′s. Our membership is currently comprised of mostly small-scale beekeepers who are dedicated to keeping bees in the urban environment. The roots here in OC are agricultural, and we haven’t forgotten that.  Copyright 2024
